Experience

  • Over two decades managing High Net Worth relationships, both personal and corporate/not-for-profit, for a major Canadian bank. In this role, Jacques opened and built up a new office in Edmonton and another in Saskatchewan.
  • A decade with the Government of the Northwest Territories, lending and borrowing on the Canadian Money Market, building and managing budgets, and dealing with elected  and appointed officials.
  • Nearly half a decade as the accountant for the foreign exchange branch of a major Canadian bank.

  • Master of Business Administration in Information Technology Management (MBA) from Athabasca University
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts
  • Bachelor of Commerce in Accountancy

       from the University of Calgary

Background

  • Married with two independent children, two dogs and two cats
  • Trained for, played and organized many regional  and national Underwater Hockey tournaments over forty years
  • Owns, rides and restores a small fleet of motorcycles (only four!). Most noteworthy excursions include rides to Inuvik, the Cypress Hills and through Glacier National Park (Montana, USA).
